After successful completion of the course, students are able to learn the application of subject-specific terminology using concrete architectural examples from different eras and are instructed to independently see, grasp, analyse and describe architectural building blocks as well as urban planning situations.
The course offers students architectural and art-historical methods of analysing buildings and urban planning situations. "Moving lectures" is a teaching format that focuses on the general and detailed examination of spatial issues in order to intensify the all-important sensorium for creative professionals in the field of architecture and urban development. The basic principles developed support further analysis and interpretation of architecture and urban planning and help graduates in their work in their field of work. As part of an introduction and four visits, works of art, architecture and urban development from different eras will be viewed on site, analysed and described in the group. The primary aim is to perceive space (built/not built), space-constituting elements, materials, greenery, etc. as well as the confident use of the corpus of subject-specific terms.
