After successful completion of the course, students are able to critically question and independently apply fundamental scientific working methods, methods and basic concepts of art history. The students prepare themselves for the papers to be given in the in-depth seminar and the term papers to be written.

The architecture and art history module in the 2020/21 winter semester is dedicated to the Austrian baroque architect Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach (1656–1723).
The course Architecture and Art History Methodology and Terminology is offered as part of the "Module Architecture and Art History", but can also be attended by participants in the elective seminars of the Art History Department if interested.
