Superblock 2: End of May/beginning of June 2020: Excursion to Iran (251.449 EX to Architecture I)
- flight to Tehran
- onward journey to Isfahan and Yazd (cooperation with the universities of Isfahan and Yazd)
- caves and earthen structures in Isfahan, Yazd, Kharanaq, Meybod etc.
- developing a research question
- documentation in text, sketch, film and photo
Superblock 3: in the week directly after excursion (ideally one evening)
- summary and analysis of the excursion results in groups and individually
- concept development to "answer" the respective research questionjoint implementation + development of an exposé and an abstract
- final workshop with presentations in pecha kucha style

Examples of our digital tools in the workflow of the research exercises:
- slack and dropbox paper to communicate and organize
- zotero to create a group library
- etherpad and googledocs for writing in multiauthoring
In addition to the block courses, online phases for introduction and reflection and of course for getting to know each other are part of the course.
