After successful completion of the course, students are able to successfully meet the challenges of writing a thesis, from the selection of the topic, the choice of the appropriate methodological approach to the design of the thesis.

The seminar provides an introduction to scientific work in the context of the diploma thesis. In five sessions, we will discuss useful information for planning, writing and successfully completing the thesis/Master's thesis. Topics of the seminar include Preparation of an exposé, research, research topic & research status, structure and outline, methodology, as well as layout and plan presentation.

One date is used to present the progress of all new diploma projects at the FOB Denkmalpflege (colloquium). In the seminar, the diploma students can exchange their experiences. Difficulties and open questions can be discussed in a small setting.

Introductions by the lecturers on the specified topics, critique of exemplary theses, text reading, writing workshop, joint discussion.

The seminar is primarily directed at students of the FOB Denkmalpflege und Bauen im Bestand.
Registration: Students are registered for the seminar by their diploma supervisors. attendance is compulsory
