Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to write a methodically and professionally sound dissertation in the field of art history (architecture, media, sculpture, painting) with the help of scientific guidance and supervision within the framework of the course

Subject of course

Introduction to scientific work, explanation of scientific methods in the field of humanities, discussion of the task and question, presentation of the individual work steps, discussion

Teaching methods

Support in the area of finding a topic, creating a meaningful scientific question as well as the conception of the thesis, regular presentation of partial results of the dissertation as well as their in-depth discussion

ATTENTION: Access to Art History is currently only possible via Stiege 1 connecting tract to Stiege 3. Take the glass elevator in the assembly hall to the 3rd floor and then turn right straight ahead to the connecting wing.
