- Implementation in practical applications of the students theoretical knowledge of constructive principles in different European and non-European cultures.

- Introduction to an extended spectrum of architecture in European and non-European cultures - Analysis of common features within the diversity of building traditions

- Integral examination of architecture with all its aspects: function - construction - form - symbolism
