Learning outcomes

 

After successful completion of the course, students are able to assess the effect and perception of existing architectural, spatial and constructive solutions.

They acquire the knowledge for the critical questioning of criteria such as quality of use, design coherence etc. and thus they acquire the basic knowledge of functioning, complexity and consequences of these aspects in application. They will then have the capacity to interpret and apply aspects of construction history and building technology as well as of functional typology and the history of urban development in the mirror of selected thematic focuses for their own design work.

  • Registering for the VO is also the tool for registering for the exam and for accessing the up-to-date documents and information on the VO.

  • When registering for the examination, do not ignore the indication "Stoffsemester". In some cases, the VOs vary considerably from semester to semester (new focus, guest lectures, etc.).

  • Therefore, please register for lectures and examinations on your own responsibility, exclusively on your own and within the given deadlines!
