Learning outcomes

 

After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

  • to define a research topic and to formulate a research question - in this semester with a special focus on the architecture of Roman antiquity, the buildings on the Via Appia Antica in Rome as well as on the characteristics and peculiarities of the epoch in terms of building technology

  • to write a scientific thesis - also as a basis for further works (e.g. Bachelor's, Master's theses etc.). This also includes learning the possibilities of an efficient (online) literature research and its administration.

  • to write abstracts and exposés also in the field of research (for theory and design)
