The increasingly complex interrelations within the discipline of architecture demand for a cross-linked, interdisciplinary approach. Within the lecture series the dialog will be opened beyond the limits of the architecture discipline and perspectives will be presented, that comply with the modified professional image of the architect. Thus not only a realistic picture of the practical day to day business of the profession will be demonstrated but in addition alternative approaches and solutions will be shown, which should be an incentive to expand oneŽs own horizon into different directions. The aim of the lecture will be to develop creative ideas about the professional image of the architect business ideas, product ideas, design ideas ideas that have the potential for innovation, for intellectual somersaults, for the freedom to overcome disciplinary borders and to explore unknown territory.
Within the lecture series different professionals will be invited who work on a transdisciplinary level and who succeeded in connecting their personal affinities with their passion for architecture. While some lecturers will give insights into their practical work and describe their career and their everyday work life, others will introduce a scientific or artistic approach towards architecture in relation to topics such as: Dance, medicine, new media, sound, stage design, gender, photography, sociology, painting, anthropology, building archaeology, design etc.
