The animal home of the city of Vienna searches a new home. The specific feature of the design task as a connection between architecture and scenery, makes the draught an unusual spatial discipline. The inhabitants of the building come from the animal kingdom. The draught should articulate the special setting of tasks in new forms of creative design. The design course is accompanied by workshops, excursion and corrections with experts and steakholders as partners in discussion (developer, town planner, user). Main focus is beside architectural, constructional-constructive also the ecologic discussion with the formulation of the topic. In a jury procedure prices of the best works will award. In addition, the prizewinners are shown in a publication.

Design ideas and concept, variability, threedimensional qualities of the space Reaction to urban planning, topographic and climatic relations, innovative and logical use of materials, intelligibilit of the construction system, application of renewable energy sources passive-house-/plus-energy-house standard consideration of the principles of sustainability Presentations: 1st Presentation: The first presentation is made digitally (powerpoint or PDF). 2nd Presentation (delivery of design concept): The working steps have to be presented on panels and digitally as a Powerpoint or PDF. For the presentation of the design concept the panels have to be shown with contents, concept and design ideas (plans, cuts, renderings). The final presentation will take place with experts and steakholders of the city of Vienna and from the area of animals' protection. 3rd Presentation (delivery construction detail, building physics, house technology): For the second part of the delivery (construction detail, simulation results, energy and ecology draught) the panels are to be presented with the contents construction and detail, results of the simulations and the ecologic layout.
