Properties

  • Semester hours: 2.0
  • Credits: 2.0
  • Type: SE Seminar

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to ...

  • use CAD programs and explain their logic
  • use CAD programs to construct exactly in 2D and explain and apply drawing objects, drawing structure, and layout
  • create plotable plot files
  • explain the structure and content of different plan types (submissiion plan, polishing plan, formwork and reinforcement plan) and to create such plans
  • construct such plan content so accurately that you can translate it into 3D programs (as required for BIM)

Subject of course

Introduction into two popular commercial CAD programs: Nemetschek Allplan and Autodesk AutoCAD in 2 blocks.

  • Draw and accurately construct 2D plan drawings as required in practice as the basis for BIM programs
  • Basic understanding of the various drawing objects and drawing and construction techniques when using CAD
  • Learning skills to create layouts considering layout rules, scale factor, linetypes, line weights, readability, etc. as well as output of a plotable plot file
  • Contents and components of the different building plan types (submission plan, polishing plan, formwork and reinforcement plan) are treated as they always represent the final result of CAD or BIM constructions

Additional information

Important:

  • For a positive completion of the entire course, a positive completion of the plan content test as well as the achievement of at least 120 points (out of 200 points) is required in the assessment in Allplan and AutoCAD.

  • For more information, see the file CAD-Anmeldeformalitaeten.pdf.
  • There is compulsory attendance at the introductory presentation as well as the group appointments! If you are missing a group appointment, you will be unsubscribed from the group (but not from the course and, hence, you will be graded).

  • The seminar is a seminar with continuous performance control:
All students who participate in the plan content test get a certificate.
Who then does not participate in the groups, is rated negative.
