After successful completion of the course, students are able to clarify and discuss psychological and socio-cultural properties of a construction project and to reflect the findings in the context of a term paper.

Topic 2023WS: 

Adaptation: Excursion to an industrial construction project planned and realized in Austria - SILHOUETTE GMBH Brillenmanufaktur in Linz

Within an excursion, a realized best-practice-building-project will be visited. The shown object and the contents should be deepened by own research.

This course is linked to the course "VU 234.161 Industriebau" this semester. Other students are of course also invited.

Procedure: 

The excursion is planned as a bus trip. The research department or the TU Wien will cover the costs for bus and sightseeing.

Abfahrt: 30.10.2023 um 07:30 Resselgasse/Karlsplatz

Rückkehr: ca. 17 Uhr.

Mittagessen wird von Silhouette GmbH zur Verfügung gestellt.

Start: 30.10.2023 um 07:30 Resselgasse/Karlsplatz

End: ca. 17 Uhr.

Lunch at Silhouette GmbH.

Information to the term paper:

• The term paper consists of a cover sheet and at least 1500 words about the visited object, its' impact on the surrounding areas and the challenges which occur for urban production sites in the 21st century.
• The term paper needs to be written in German or in English.
• The term paper must be provided with at least 1 source of the independent research and image credits.
