After successful completion of the course, students are able to clarify and discuss psychological and socio-cultural properties of a construction project and to reflect the findings in the context of a term paper.

Inspections of best-practice-examples to demonstrate current trends and their constructional realization.

Topic 2020W: 

Green facades in the public space of the city of Vienna (Wien Margareten), such as the Margareten office building, Friederike-Seidl-Hof or Central Square Margareten. A wide variety of overgrown facades and parks are shown.

Within an excursion, realized best-practice-building-projects will be visited. The shown objects and contents should be deepened by own research.

The virtual excursion takes place via ZOOM, duration 2h.

Information to the term paper:

• The term paper consists of a cover sheet and two A4 pages with at least 500 words about the visited objects, which overall and psychological impression you felt, as well as which climatic effects were felt..
• The term paper must be written in German or English language.
• The term paper must be provided with at least 1 source of the independent research and image credits.
