Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to identify, name and differentiate between different organizational forms of companies and construction sites.

The students can also explain different leadership theories and describe the corresponding advantages and disadvantages in practical use.

 

 


Subject of course

The basic features of corporate organizations, their structures and classic forms are presented in the introduction. Building on this, strategy models and new forms of organizations are presented. Special attention will be paid to the forms of organization encountered in construction.

Management and management methods frequently used in construction project implementation are presented and highlighted with practical examples.

The available stuff is the carrier of every activity in every organization. The possibilities and instruments of personnel management and personnel development are addressed.

The methodological structure of this LVA is as follows:     

  • Lecture part    
  • Discussion in the lecture
  • Self-study of additional specialist articles matching the scope of the lecture
  • Writing seminar papers
  • Presenting the results in front of the group

Additional information

Due to the Covid-19-pandemic, only limited presence is possible. In our seminar room only 10 students are allowed, for the rest there will be a video stream of the seminar. Every student has the opportunity to be present at one lecture. The registration will be made over groups in TISS.

Presence (virtual or in the seminar room, if registered) in the first unit is MANDATORY FOR EVERYBODY!

Important: if you don't show up for your registered lecture unexcused, you will be removed from the course!
