The realization of sustainable built environment, together with achievement of economic, ecologic and socio-cultural interests reflects the various, often diverging interests of numerous stakeholders (investors, planners, users, neighbours, policy makers, public etc.).
Also varying are the interests and professional languages of the experts participating in a planning and construction process, which contributes to the increasing complexity. The multidisciplinary, collaborative planning tries to include all of the stakeholders from the earliest design stages, in order to develop joint vision statement and language as well as to create a common knowledge base.
The exploration of theoretical concepts for development of complex, sustainable construction projects reflecting multiple perspectives of various stakeholders is in focus of this class.
The student-teams will explore and document the planning concepts and strategies of specific case studies (projects).
