Aim of course

Fundamentals of life-cycle oriented building design ,based on evaluation of economic, ecologic and social criteria.

Introduction to international building certificates and systems such as: DGNB, Bream, LEED Demonstration of Building Performance Evaluation and Post Occupancy Evaluation Method.

  Through the case studies and field trip to a sustainable building, the relevant criteria for the building performance will be demonstrated and evaluated.

Subject of course

1. BLOCK: Theory, Models and Concepts Theoretical concept of life-cycle oriented, holistic sustainable planning and building; " cradle-ti ceradle" Building Performance Evaluation on Case Study International Certificates (LEED, Bream, DGNB)

2. BLOCK Field trip to a sustainable building

3. BLOCK Presentation of student-projects:

Literature review of 3 Articles related to the chosen specific meassurement

Article Analysis: Research Aim, Method, Reuslts

Reflection of the Results and the suitability of chosen measurement
