Aim of course

In this semester this class comprises of a lecture series  as  part of the exhibition and project "The Billion City"

The contact with the building practice is of crucial importance to the education of the structural engineers. The complex projects that require for innovative problem-solutions, call for, next to the engineering-creativity, an excellent cooperation of all stakeholters such as planners, construction companies and developers. A basic understanding of diverse disciplines, their vocabulary and their tasks is hearby a precondition of project sucess. The development and implementation of innovative structures and methods in practice, demonstrates the impossibility of prediction of future potential problems as well as a handbook-handling concerning structural engineering, production and assembling.

Subject of course

Renowned construction companies, contractors and engineers present innovative problem-solutions for specific complex projects as planned, constructed and manufactured in practice.

Seminar work and continuous presence in  min.  three lectures, the seminar is to work until the 31st of January 2015 and electronically by tuwel to send.

 Essay topic: Your critical oppinion to the presented topic, your proposal  to problem-solving.

The volume should be at least one A4 page per lecture. TheTISS application is binding.
