Introduction to the planning of industrial real estates, emphasizing the architectural design. elaboration of divisional solutions and integration into the whole project. Development of value judgement through case studies. Design-project of an specific task in industrial real estate.
Within the framwork of LECTURE, introduction to: Factors influencing the design of industrial real estates: e.g. ergonomics, production technology, industrial economics, building construction, architecture. Systematics of the planning process, project management. Location choice, site planning, infrastructure development: master plan. Design of building, loadbearing structure, envelope, services, etc. Excursion to a real industrial location.
Excercise: A Design-project related to a real location and individual development of specific problem-solution. Final presentation of the project.
