Goals of the lecture are to a) recognise the dynamics and complexity of transport systems b) learn methods to communicate these complex interdependencies and c) model and simulate transport systems using qualitative and quantitative methods (causal loop diagramming, stock/flow modelling, system dynamics)
Planned program ·Playing a simulation game (Fishbanks or Beergame) to experience complex dynamic system behaviour ·Series of lectures where different methods are explained (Causal Loop Diagramming, Stock Flow Diagramming ) ·Application of the above mentioned methods on real world problems (modelling exercise as a team course work) ·Final presentation and discussion of course work
