Aim of course

To convey knowledge on the characteristics and influencing factors on transport development, especially the effects of infrastructure; Capability to make independent analysis of dynamic effects; knowledge of decision-making processes; raising awareness on the role of the transport planner from a comprehensive viewpoint.

Subject of course

An analysis of the influencing factors on the development of a transport system. Subject of study at which these effects occur at the local, regional, national and global levels. The dynamic effects of transport development and infrastructure. Economic and ecological relationships. Legal and political conditions. Inferences for transport planners and planning. Basis for decision making processes. Needs-assessment and goal orientated testing. Risk assessment and evaluation of consequences.
