Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to name basic concepts of ropeways and different ropeway systems. In addition, students can calculate rope forces and their effects, dimension ropes and design ropeways in longitudinal section. Furthermore, the students have experience in the calculation of a practical example through the elaboration of an exercise.

Theoretical static and dynamics of ropes, construction of ropeway systems

Lecture with practical examples and calculation examples; discussion with students about the topic; elaboration of an exercise for independent processing of a practical example
