After successful completion of the course, students are able to:
- identify and name essential components of the water supply and disposal
- run simple dimensioning and designs
- explain and transfer the results of the calculations
All three subject areas are completed with a separate colloquium (written exam).
In addition, there will be a further colloquium date following the LVA, in which one of the three colloquia can be made up (prerequisite: 2 colloquiums completed successfully).
Participation in all three colloquia is compulsory. A deregistration can only be done by e-mail to the supervisor BEFORE the start of the respective colloquium. The allocation of students to the respective zoom meetings will be announced via TISS.
To successfully complete the LVA, all three colloquia have to be completed positively (> = 50 out of 100 points). The overall grade results from the weighted average (1/3 each) of the three subsections and is awarded according to the following key
> = 87 - 100 = 1 - very good
> = 75 - <87 = 2 - good
> = 63 - <75 = 3 - satisfactory
> = 50 - <63 = 4 - enough
0 - <50 = 5 - not enough
Announcement of the results of the colloquia for reasons of data protection in the TUWEL: https://tuwel.tuwien.ac.at Appointments for review will be announced via TISS.
Content:
- Theoretical questions on parameters and technical-biological contexts / processes that were explained during the tutorials
- Design of a water supply, dimensioning of a mixing system, rough design of a sewage treatment plant
The use of exercise documents is allowed (open-book-exam). But no programmable calculator may be used. Simple calculator and drawing material (triangle, pencil, eraser) should be brought along.
