  • to name organizational organisatorial frameworks (as e.g. protection zones) for a safe water supply
  • to state and understand the importance of the implementation of central substances / parameters into the legal framework in regard to toxicology and technical needs
  • to describe the correlation between raw water quality and treatment technologies to be applied for safe water supply
  • to explain the possibilities and limitations of the individual technological treatment options
  • to explain basics on functioning and operation of ndividual technological treatment steps
  • to operate conceptual planning for simple process combinations for drinking water treatment

Subject of course

  • treatment steps (sedimentation, flocculation, filtration, adsorption, oxidation, disinfection)
  • applications (typical treatment trains for surface water treatment; ground water treatment)
  • storage
