In the course current issues from the fields of resource management and waste management are presented in specialist lectures by speakers both from TU Wien and external. Experts from science, industry and administration are presenting.
After each lecture a discussion with the auditorium take place. There are 45 minutes each for the lecture as well as for the discussion.
The aim is to get to know different methods, problems and solutions. However, the active discoures strengthens the ability to correctly classify and correlate results of different issues and levels of complexity.
Due to the current situation, the lecture will be held online.

The content and objective of our winter semester master courses will be briefly described at an information event on 5. Oct. 2022, 09:00 a.m. Lecture Room AA 02-1 (Main building, staircase 1, 2nd floor, immediately on the right)
Participation in this information event is not compulsory.
As performance record the students must be present and actively participate in the discussion. In the course a presence of more than 80% of the dates is obligatory. We kindly ask you to join the meeting with your real name or matriculation number and to activate the visual feed at the beginning of the lecture and for the discussion.
Students must submit (TUWEL) “insights” for every attended lecture. Insights concise of some keywords or one to two sentences which summarise insights gained in the lecture.
For a selected topic, which is based on one of the lectures held, a short seminar paper (2000-2500 words) has to be submitted. This should take up the topic or a sub-aspect of it and question it critically. In the paper, the essential statements and key points of the lecture should first be briefly summarized. The presentation documents will be provided in the TISS. Furthermore, the issue has to be supplemented or further elaborated and critically discussed. Hence, a literature research and own considerations has to be conducted.
The paper should comprise 2000-2500 words and has to meet the following formal requirements:

Guest lectures will be generally in German, some also in English. Students with low German skills can visit the lecture.
