Getting in touch with problems and solutions in waste management plants.

Excursion to waste treatment plants. Connected to the waste management lectures in the winter semester.

Additionally to the registration, a deposit of 10€ has to be paid in the secretary of our institute until November 16th, 2017. It will be returned upon participation at the excursion.

The preliminary discussion to the courses takes place on 3. Oct. 2017, 09:30-10:00 AM, Lecture room 14 (Karlsplatz 13, Stiege 3, 3. Stock)

This semester, we will visit the raw material processing plant and the metal recycling plant of the Müller-Guttenbrunn Group in Amstetten on December 6th, 2017.

Timetable:

• on 06.12.2017, at 07:00 AM (punctual)
• meeting place: Resselgasse, corner Wiedner Hauptstraße
• Departure: at 07:15 AM (punctual)
• The programme will end at 15:00 in Amstetten, which results in an expected arrival in Vienna at around 16:30.

Lunch

• Self-sufficiency: Please bring your own food and drinks. Seats in the company dining hall are organised.

Additional information

• Appropriate footwear and weather-related clothes are necessary.

Participants

• The registration list on TISS will be actualised according to the deposit payments. Please note that the deposit won't be refunded, if the excursion was not attended!

Two components: compulsory attendance + submission of a report (.pdf) by e-mail to sabine.dworak@tuwien.ac.at, caroline.roithner@tuwien.ac.at until 01.03.2018.

The report must consist of a text part (1700-1900 words) and tables and graphs, which should be added in an adequate extent (approx. 1 page for tables and graphs). Font size 12 (Arial) and a line spacing of 1,5 and  justification. If passages of the text are copied from the Internet or any other source (without any appropriate citation/reference), the report will be automatically graded with "nicht genügend (5)". The grading will be proceeded as soon as the reports of all excursion participants are handed in and the deadline is expired.

• related to the excursion
• content correctness
• scope and structure
• appropriate writing style
• autonomous work
• addition of secondary literature
• referencing (in a scientific format and consistent)

Attention: For the successful completion of the course, the attendance of the excursion and the submission of the report are required. If the report is not submitted, although the excursion was attended, the total course will be graded with "nicht genügend (5)".

Erfolgt über TISS. Anmeldung ist erst dann gültig, wenn Sie sich im TISS angemeldet und 10 € Kaution im Sekretariat hinterlegt haben.
