  • develop and dimension steel hydraulic engineering parts
  • recognize special features of steel hydraulic engineering parts

Subject of course

Constructions of hydraulic steel structures (rakes, sliding and rolling gates, flaps, segment gates, sluice gates etc.), calculation bases, structural training of hydraulic steel structures, special problems in hydraulic steel structures (sealing, ventilation, cavitation, ice), drives, control and regulation, corrosion protection, flow-induced vibrations.

Teaching methods

Learning the basics through lecture and self-study and discussion of practical examples.
