For example, these tools allow the estimation of the likelihood of failure of a building due to earthquakes, or its inundation by floods, and the costs involved. Cost effective and safe planning needs to account for these risks.

Ein eigener Laptop ist in allen Vorlesungseinheiten mitzubringen, auf dem Mathlab oder Octave installiert ist.
Es ist essentiell, von Anfang an mit dem eigenen Laptop mitzuarbeiten, um die Übungsaufgaben lösen zu können.
(1) Übungsbeispiele: Von den Studierenden in den drei Übungsstunden durchgeführt. Abgabe der Ergebnisse und des Rechnungsweges am Ende der Stunde.
(2) Multiple Choice Test: Gesonderter Prüfungstermin
Die Gesamtnote der Lehrveranstaltung setzt sich zu 50% aus der Bewertung der Übungsbeispiele und zu 50% aus der Bewertung des Multiple Choice Tests zusammen, wobei beide Teile positiv sein müssen, um eine positive Gesamtnote zu erreichen.
