The acquisition of the course contents is based on a combination of three methods. The theory is taught in plenary lectures. The students apply the theory in (non-obligatory) project assignments inspired by real-world configurations. Additional contextualisation of the course content is acquired in the form of autonomous reading of recent scientific journal papers.
The lecture ppt slides and the journal papers to read are made available in the associated TUWEL course.
Oral. The non-obligatory assignments are graded and contribute1/3 to the final grade only if they improve the grade of the oral exam.
Successful completion of the lectures (VO) Applied Hydromechanics (222.564), Mixing and Transport Processes (222.586) and Bio-geomorphologic Processes (222.589) is recommended.
