The exercises will be executed in the laboratory or in the field (quarries, etc.)

Lab:

Self-employed determination of characteristic physical properties of stone based on Austrian Standards (strength, hardness, porosity, bulk density, water adsorption, etc.)

Field:

Basics of geological and geotechnical mapping and documentation of stone and rock properties using geological compass, rebound hammer, point-load-test, ultrasonic velocity and other relevant field methods.
