Aim of course

The planning, arrangement, execution and documentation of 1:1 scale experiments on structural elements shall be learned. The handling of modern testing equipment comprising control and data acquisition software systems shall be trained.

Subject of course

The laboratory for 1:1 scale experiments on structural elements is shown in detail. The working together of testing frames, hydraulic jacks, control devices and data acquisition is explained. Based on real experiments performed on concrete, steel, composite and timber elements the basics of experiment arrangement and execution are shown as well as the handling of modern electronic control and data acquisition systems.
