After successful completion of the course, students are able to design reinforced concrete bridges and prestressed concrete bridges and precalculate the dimensions of the most essential structural components.

Lectures on the theoretical background, basic design and precalculation of reinforced and prestressed concrete bridges.
It is expected that students will attend the course. The personal attendance will be checked. If there is a good reason not to attend the course, 4 lecture or presentations units of 45 minutes may be missed.
During the semester each student or a team of two students will have to design a foot bridge of a research projekt. The grade will be based on the quality of the design, the presentations, the drawings and preliminary calculations.
FIRST LECTURE 08.03.2022
The registration for the course has to be done using the TISS-system until March 2nd 2022, 16:00 hours. The number of participating students has to be restricted to 20 students in order to ensure the quality of the design projects. The selection of the participating students will be carried out according to the following criteria:
