After successful completion of the course, students are able to critically evaluate their own work as well as that of their colleagues resulting in the ability to edit, process, and present their research and results on steel and composite structures in their doctoral thesis.

Discussion of problems and appropriate solution methods as well as the work progress with other doctoral candidates. Discussion of the problems treated in the respective thesis, guidance to independent scientific work, constructional criticism on workflow, contents and presentation of results.
