  • Credits: 1.5
  • Type: VO Lecture
  • Format: Presence

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the force and deformation mechanisms of warping torsion according to the 1st order and 2nd order theory for beams to identify and solve stress and stability problems for member structures.

Subject of course

  • Warping torsion (1st order theory)
  • Warping torsion (2nd order theory)
  • Approximations for calculation of stability problems and stress problems
  • Formulary
  • Numerous calculated examples to all chapters

Teaching methods

Lectures on the theoretical principles and the application of mechanical models for problems of warping torsion according to 1st order and 2nd order theory.

Demonstration of the practical approach for solving tasks by explaining calculated examples.

Mode of examination

Oral
