211.007 Special Problems of elastic second-order theory Canceled

2020W, VU, 3.0h, 4.5EC

Properties

  • Semester hours: 3.0
  • Credits: 4.5
  • Type: VU Lecture and Exercise
  • Format: Presence

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to study the basic theories I., II. and III. to differentiate and apply order and related nonlinearities. In particular, simple systems can be calculated with regard to the stability behavior. Regardless, in-depth knowledge of torsion is acquired.

Subject of course

Second-order theory for stability-endangered systems. Examples of simple systems with special phenomena of instabilities. Systems with variable cross sections. Theory of elementary torsion and warping torsion for open and closed sections.

Teaching methods

Theoretical basics of linear and non-linear analysis of bar systems, based on force size and displacement size methods.

Mode of examination

Immanent
