This course is in at least 1 assigned curriculum part of the STEOP.

2024W, VO, 2.0h, 3.0EC

Properties

  • Semester hours: 2.0
  • Credits: 3.0
  • Type: VO Lecture
  • Format: Presence

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to perform vibration analysis of real building and bridge structures (railway bridges, wind turbines, pedestrian bridges, foundations of instruments, etc.) and evaluate the results. Students are also able to plan, calculate and optimise a vibration damper for real building and bridge constructions and to evaluate the achieved vibration reduction.

Subject of course

Diverse applications of structural dynamics in building and bridge construction as well as to vibration damper systems.

Teaching methods

Lectures including many numerical example problems.

Mode of examination

Written and oral
