WS2024: Independent tour of at least 2 buildings in the course of the OPEN HOUSE WIEN festival on September 14 and 15, 2024 (SA & SO)

Homepage: OPEN HOUSE WIEN

This time, the OBT research department invites you to an exciting excursion, during which you choose at least 2 buildings according to your own interests, visit them and write a report about them.

Program:

OPEN HOUSE WIEN is an annual festival weekend that allows visitors to experience architecture that is not normally open to the public. On two days, certain buildings can be visited without prior registration between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and can be explored as part of a guided tour.

Please note: The building overview for 2024 will not be published on the homepage until the end of July! You must then choose and visit at least 2 of these yourself!

Independent excursion of at least 2 buildings

  • Participation in at least 2 guided tours of 2 different buildings
  • Proof of participation through photos of the location during the respective tour (these should be included in the report)
  • Familiarization with the building/architecture and its history
  • Location/orientation in the city
  • Taking a closer look at specially defined topics (e.g. ecology, sustainability, special features of design and/or building construction or with regard to the function of the building, technical building equipment, etc.)
  • Self-reflection on the respective exploration

Registration takes place in TISS.

If you have any questions, please send an email to Ines.Kirchengast@tuwien.ac.at.
