Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to solve structural problems of stability, fluid mechanics and dynamics of continuous solid structures with the help of exact and / or approximate methods.

Subject of course

Stability problems: definitions, buckling
Fluid Dynamics: similarity laws, potential flow, laminar and turbulent flow, hydrodynamic resistance and uplift, Kármán’s vortex flow
Continuous systems: equation of motion, approximate methods
Stress resultants in moving systems.

Teaching methods
