Students will learn about methods of refurbishment and legal guidelines in Europe. The course will discuss concepts such as "heritage", "sustainability" and "conservation". An introduction into international strategies and principles of building conservation will be given and explained. The history of building construction will be outlined and it's current relevance highlighted. Students will also learn about state-of-the-art methods and techniques in refurbishment of historical properties.
