This course is intended for students who completed their undergratuate studies outside Europe and now wish to continue in the master's programme. This course will provide a compact overview over the essential formal basics of civil engineering in Austria and the Europe. This includes standards, norms and other guidelines.

First the formal basics (Eurocodes etc) will be introduced and then more specific aspects of applying norms and guidelines when constructing in Austria will be explained.
