Aim of course

Acquirement of fundamental principles of dynamics of solids and fluids in consistent description. Application to fundamental problems of dynamics of structures and hydrodynamics. Development of practice-oriented problem formulations and computational methods.

Subject of course

Dynamics of Solids and Fluids, Conservation of Momentum, Conservation of Angular Momentum. Applications to Rigid-Body Dynamics. Linear Oscillations. Vibrations of Linear Elastic Beams. Kinetic Energy, The Law of Conservation of Kinetic Energy, and The Law of Conservation of Mechanical Energy. Applications to Single-Degree-of-Freedom Systems. Bernoulli`s Equation of Fluid Mechanics. Stability Problems (Equilibrium Configuration, Fundamental Motion). Lagrange Equations of Motion. Multi-Degree-of-Freedom Oscillators. Unbalanced Rotor. Approximate Methods of Dynamics and Statics.
