After successful completion of the course, students are able to put the teaching content into practice, as eg. Special chapters of metallic materials(e.g. cracking procedures in welds, heat treatment of base material and weld metal, high strength steels, creep and creep resistant steels, steels for low temperature use, basics of corrosion, corrosion- and heat resistent steels, abrasion and coatings,Aluminium and Aluminium alloys, Titanium and other metals and their alloys, joining of different materials, measurement, control, and recording of welding data, economical considerations, ...) and demonstrations during the excursion
