Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to put the teaching content into practice, as eg. Safety and security, welding processes, shielded metal arc welding, gas welding and cutting, cutting and weld preparation, welding power sources and electric arc, welding positions and joint preparation, testing of welded joints, basics of materials science, weldability and heat treatments, defects of welded joints and evaluation, welding equipment, quality control during production, measurement, control, and registration of welding data, welding procedure specification, education of welders, welding laboratory with welding exam (shielded metal arc welding), autogenous cutting, demonstrations: cutting, brazing, plasma welding and cutting, submerged arc welding, resistance welding, friction welding, electron beam welding, laser welding, other welding processes
