Aim of course

Assessment of stability problems in rock engineering: Recognition of the importance and encouragement of the cooperation with related areas.

Subject of course

Rock Slopes, Foundations and Tunnels. Treatment of a rock mechanical problem to assess the stability of a structure in / on rock using mathematical methods or experimental methods or on the basis of field explorations.(It is possible to combine this lecture with the Finite-Difference-Models in Geoengineering LVA Nr. 203.029).
