Aim of course

Demonstration of capability, versatility and limitations of the non-linear finite element method. Preparation of the basic theoretical principles.

Subject of course

Axisymmetric solids under arbitrary loading, thick plates, thin shells, locking phenomena, stationary field problems, linear elastic fracture mechanics, nonlinear solution techniques, numerical examples.
