After successful completion of the course, students are able to analyse results from commonly used mechanical tests performed on biological tissues. Students will be also able to distinguish advantages from a variety of test mechanical tests depending on the length scale they desire to explore.

With reference to the COVID-19 University and Higher Education Ordinance of the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, the Institute for Mechanics of Materials and Structures at the Vienna University of Technology has put COVID-19 remote examination regulations into effect on April 29, 2020. Until further notice, the distance examination regulations replace the face-to-face examination regulations that were valid before.
