Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to use advanced methods of engineering mechanics, in order to solve challenging scientific problems which encounter in the course of their doctoral thesis.

Subject of course

Additional topics of the strength of materials, thin-walled structures and the finite element method with respect to the field of the thesis.

Discussion on open problems and suitable solution strategies; one-to-one as well as in larger groups

The consultations are taking place mainly in online format via videoconference system GoToMeeting or Zoom. If necessary,complementary personal discussions take place in accordance with the COVID-19 safety regulations.
