Fundamentals of elasticity theory, basic aspects of plasticity theory, nonlinear material models, hardening and softening behaviour, fundamentals of continuum micromechanics and of multiscale modelling, verification and validation of constitutive models.
In the winter term WS2011/12 the course VU Computational Material Modeling will be hold together with course "Strength of Materials" (course no. 202.643). The subject of the course VU Computational Material Modeling will be presented in the lectures from 2012 to 2012 (chapter 3 in the book Festigkeitslehre: "Grundlagen der Elastizitätstheorie"and chapter 9 to 12 in the book Festigkeitslehre: "Anstrengungshypothesen" to "Grundlagen der Plastitzitätstheorie").
This lecture is only for the field of following studies: Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
Book to the course "Strength of Materials": Mang, H. A., und Hofstetter, G.: Festigkeitslehre, Springer-Verlag, Wien, 2008 (in German)
