Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to use advanced methods of engineering mechanics, in order to solve challenging scientific problems which they entcounter in the course of their diploma thesis.

Subject of course

Additional topics of the strength of materials, thin-walled structures and the finite element method with respect to the field of the thesis.

Teaching methods

Joint discussion of specific problems of mechanics. Joint development of a structured approach to the handling of scientific problems.
