understand principles of domain-specific modeling and engineering and applying their knowledge on concrete case studies. Hands-on formal exercise, with practical sessions/discussions will assist students in this course. 

Inhalt der Lehrveranstaltung

The lecturer of this course will be Professor emeritus, Dr.Techn., Dr.h.c., Dines Bjørner from DTU Compute, Technical University, Denmark.

Methoden

The course will be held in a blocked manner, with 7 lectures (each lecture of 2x45 minutes).

Lecture notes will be available online and the lectures will discuss the material of the lecture notes in-class. 

Interested students will also have the possibility to engage in project work, consisting of 2+2 hours of each of  7 course days:

- 2 hours tutored by Prof. Bjorner (exercise sessions)

- and 2 hours with students working their own.

This is a guest professor course of the TU Wien Informatics Doctoral School.

The course is open to all PhD students and interested Master students and will be held from Oct 24 - Nov 4, 2022.

- Lecture 2, Tuesday, Oct 25:
Endurants - External Qualities (Analysis and Synthesis)

- Lecture 3, Thursday, Oct 27:
Endurant - Internal Qualities (Unique Identifiers and Mereology)

- Lecture 4, Friday, Oct 28:
Endurants - Internal Qualities (Attributes)

- Lecture 5, Monday, Oct 31:
Examples

- Lecture 6, Thursday, Nov 3:
Perdurants - The Discrete Statics

- Lecture 7, Friday, Nov.4: 
Perdurants - The Discrete Dynamics, Summary Discussions

In addition to the above lectures, each lecture day will also offer in-class exercises (1-3pm each lecture day).
