- Learn international policy frameworks for AI policy
- Learn international institutions involved with AI policy
- Develop analytic skills for AI policy
- Develop ability to identify AI policy news, public comment opportunities, and events
- Assess emerging AI policy controversies, including social scoring, facial surveillance, and lethal autonomous weapons
- Undertake empirical research on national AI policies and practices
- Assess AI policy instruments
- Provide recommendations for future work in the field

The AI Policy Clinic is an intensive, interdisciplinary, semester-long course, established to teach future leaders AI policy analysis, research, and evaluation. Topics covered include AI History, AI Issues and Institutions, AI Regulation, and Research Methods.
This is a guest professor course of the TU Wien Informatics Doctoral School.
The course is open to all PhD students and interested Master students.
Course Schedule: May 2 - 6, 2022 (every day 2 hours am, 2 hours pm)
